PBA Host Meet the Candidates
Thursday, October 14th, 2010
Penfield Community Center
7:00 - 9:00pm

The Penfield Business Association will once again host a Meet the Candidates event for PBA members and the Penfield community. Candidates for Penfield Town Board, New York State Assembly, New York State Senate and US Congress will attend. This is a community forum to meet the candidates, ask relevant questions and have an opportunity to network with the candidates in an informal atmosphere.

Questions will be asked to all candidates running for a particular office via a moderator. There will be no rebuttal as this event is not structured as a debate. Attendees will have an opportunity to submit a question in writing during the event. A member of the PBA Board of Directors will collect the questions, sort them and submit the questions to the moderator. Not every question submitted will be asked.

Members of the community are invited to submit questions via email in advance of the event to PBA board member Sam DeLucia at sdelucia@rochester.rr.com

October 5 Area Legislative Event Cancelled

We mentioned in a previous newsletter that a candidate forum was being organized by 15 area business associations, the PBA included, in an effort to bring our candidates running for New York State Govenor and Comptroller to Upstate New York to discuss the issues and answer questions posed by Brian Sampson of Unshackle Upstate. The event was scheduled to take place at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center and the committee expected a large turnout of residents and businesses from the area. Candidates were invited in August and as of this week, only Republican Comptroller Candidate Harry Wilson had committed to attend the event. The other candidates declined to attend or did not respond. Unfortunately the event has been cancelled.
