In 1988 when Brett Dawson first met his future wife, he shared with her that he was enticed equally by the worlds of business and law. In addition, he knew that he wanted to assist others – from a business/legal perspective. Making the decision to become a business lawyer who runs his own firm has allowed Brett to fulfill all three aspects.

Brett made the decision to start his own firm several years ago when his children were small. Working a 12-hour-a-day routine that never allowed him to see his children when they were awake, or to enjoy quality time with his wife, was taking its toll. Although the law may be a “jealous mistress,” Brett decided the time had come to put his family and health first. Now, five years later, Brett is overjoyed to say that he is working smarter, is blessed to have his wife Debbie working by his side, and seldom misses one of his children’s events.

What Brett likes the most and least about his line of work are two sides of the same coin. In order to help any client, he must fully understand their situation. That includes any angst they may be going through. That can be challenging. But once a satisfactory agreement has been reached, Brett takes great pride in the contribution the Dawson Law Firm played in contributing to the growth and success of another local business.

Brett believes that what sets Dawson Law Firm apart from other firms is their dedication to truly understanding each client’s needs. “We don’t just do the work and send the client on their way. Five years ago when I made the decision to begin my own firm I had a clear mission – to provide each and every client with the best possible legal advice in a timely fashion, and to provide outstanding service at a reasonable fee. For every client there is a vision – that we help turn into a reality. “
