Wickham Farms Commemorates 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11’s Moon Landing
Wickham Farms is celebrating America’s rich history by designing their Giant Corn Maze to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11’s Moon Landing on July 20th, 1969. When astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin set foot on the Moon’s surface, they secured America’s position as a world leader in science and technology. Neil Armstrong’s famous words “That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind,” sparked the imaginations of a generation of Americans. Now Wickham Farms is using their 5-acre Giant Corn Maze to honor America’s heritage and encourage a new generation of Americans to learn about the past and dream about their country’s future.
The Giant Corn Maze, opening August 17th, 2019, is located at Wickham Farms new location, at 1315 Sweets Corners Road, Penfield, NY 14526. Guests of the farm will be able to purchase a low-price admission ticket which will grant access to all the fun the new barnyard has to offer. Some of the highlights will include: a new jumping pillow, a jumping pad (great for little ones), two kiddie train rides, giant mountain slides and tunnels, playgrounds, a corn pit, mini golf, corn mazes, apple cannons, rubber duck races, and more. Wickham Farms is also offering season passes (on sale now), that will cover guests’ admission from the time the venue opens in August through Halloween when it will close for the season. In addition, guests who would like to just pick apples or pumpkins, meander through the Giant Corn Maze, or buy fresh donuts and fudge, do not need to purchase a Barnyard Admission ticket.
