Dawn Hampsey, CPA, will give a presentation about the new tax plan. The presentation will give an overview of the plan focusing on changes to the tax code that affect individuals and small locally owned businesses: the personal exemption, the standard deductions, the 20% Qualified Business Income Deduction and more. There will be time for Q & A.
Dawn Hampsey is a Certified Public Accountant, who specializes helping her clients understand the tax laws that pertain to their situation with advice on how to improve their tax liability. She received her MS in Taxation from SUNY Albany and a BS in Accounting from Elmira College. She has served as an instructor for tax classes and has conducted numerous tax workshops. She is a member of the New York State Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs, and is active in many Rochester area nonprofit organizations.
