Business Building Workshops. PBC Smart Seminars feature business experts offering insights on topics of interest such as: sales and marketing, customer service, web site development and social media, human resource issues, and government initiatives affecting business.
Member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The PBC joins the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, Greece Chamber of Commerce and Victor Chamber of Commerce as the only four business associations/chambers within Monroe County affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. PBC members have access to national resources including 75 small business toolkits, select discounts, and numerous guides and publications developed for small businesses.
Member-To-Member Discount Program. Reach new customers, increase traffic and build business through this program designed to build alliances among member businesses.
Increased Visibility for Your Business. Gain greater exposure through your listing in our online member directory, include an article of business interest or an announcement in our monthly newsletter distributed to over 300 local decision makers or host a networking event, open house or activity. Consider a Premium Membership to promote your business on several of our website pages and monthly publication of newsletter. Premium Members are also acknowledged at all business building events (Smart Seminars).
Networking. Connect with business leaders at our networking events throughout the year. Networking events occur at various times to accommodate a wide variety of schedules.

Topics @ 12 - Join us during the lunch hour to hear updates from a PBC Board Member or a brief presentation by a PBC Member.
Chamber on Tap - This after-hours networking event is a great time to unwind after work and socialize with fellow members. After hours networking events may be partnered with another local Chamber or networking group to meet new people.
Town Liaison Committee. This advocacy group includes members of the PBC, Penfield’s Town Supervisor and Director of Economic Development. The committee meets monthly to discuss economic development in Penfield and any specific issues concerning members of the PBC.
Business of the Month program. Each month a PBC business member is selected as the “Business of the Month'. The business selected is promoted and advertised on the PBC web site, newsletter, Facebook page, local newspaper and a sign is displayed at their place of business recognizing them as the PBC business of the month.
Business of the Year and Daniel Penfield Awards. These annual awards celebrate the best of the area’s business community. Finalists and winners are recognized at the annual meeting in the fall.
Community Connections. The PBC supports community activities including Penfield’s Independence Day parade and Tastin the Blues. The PBC provides the holiday tree located in the Four Corners of Penfield and also plans the annual Eastside Business Expo. Beginning this year, the PBC is partnering with the Penfield Public Library for a Community Seminar Series. This series features PBC Members speaking about a variety of personal finance related topics. The public is welcome to all these events.
Penfield Pride Award. Awarded annually to a business showing outstanding property improvements.
